The Playbill Collection contains over 700 programs and playbills from performances in various theatres in Chicago, Minneapolis, New York, and other locations. Many of the playbills include associated reviews and performer information clipped from newspapers and magazines. The performances include plays, opera, musicals, vaudeville, and other concerts.

Most of this collection is arranged alphabetically by title of the play. Oversize items are located at the end of the collection.
Boxes 1-13 are arranged alphabetically by play title. Box 14 is from the Metropolitan in Minneapolis and is arranged alphabetically by play title. Boxes 15-16 are mostly arranged alphabetically by location or theater name. Boxes 17 - 21 are from various theaters around the world and are arranged alphabetically by play title. Box 22 is duplicates and miscellaneous. Box 23 is oversize. For some of the playbills, theater, location, and date are included following the title.
