Biographical / Historical
McVay was a surgeon from Yankton, SD who became recognized internationally as an expert in the anatomy of the inguinal region and an innovator in the surgical repair of hernias. He was born 1911, practice medicine in Yankton, taught at the University of South Dakota, died 1987, and was inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame 2005.
